The Advanced Summer School in Quantum Field Theory and Quantum Gravity is aimed at advanced doctoral students and postdoctoral fellows. It is the 2023 edition in a biennial series of Advanced Summer Schools in High Energy Theoretical Physics, which were traditionally held either in Cargèse or Les Houches.
This session will exceptionally take place at ICISE, the International Center for Interdisciplinary Science and Education in Quy Nhon, Vietnam, from July 9 to July 29, 2023.
The School will include introductory and advanced lectures on the following topics: Quantum gravity, string theory, black holes, amplitudes, holography, cosmology, quantum information theory, theoretical condensed matter and artificial intelligence. The schedule will leave ample room for discussions. A series of advanced seminars, organized in a workshop style with other invited speakers, will complete the program.
Applications should be made through the school website before March 30, 2023.
We are glad to announce the opening of the second call for Short Scientific Visits within IRN:QFS. The aim is to support short visits (up to one week) to a few nodes who have agreed to earmark some limited fund for this program. The call is open to junior scientists from of the institutions participating in IRN:QFS. The deadline for this call, covering visits due to take place between March 1st and Dec 20, 2023, is extended to Jan 22, 2023. See this page for more details.
The school will take place both in-person and on-line, if you would like to attend, please follow this link.

This online international workshop hosted by IST Lisbon brings together experts in quantum gravity and string theory to stimulate collaborative discussions and exchange of ideas on the latest developments and results in the field. See this link for details.
We are delighted to announce that the next Eurostrings conference will take place from April 24 to 28, 2023 in Gijón (in Asturias, close to Oviedo). Mark the dates !
We are glad to announce the opening of the first call for Short Scientific Visits within IRN:QFS. The aim is to support short visits (less than 2 weeks) to a few partners who have agreed to earmark some limited fund for this program. The call is open to members of any of the institutions participating in IRN:QFS, with emphasis on junior scientists. The deadline for the first call, covering visits due to take place between July 15 and Dec 31st, 2022, is now postponed to June 17, 2022. See this page for more details.
This workshop will bring together physicists and mathematicians working on Quivers, Calabi-Yau threefolds, Donaldson-Thomas invariants, and related topics. The workshop will be held in hybrid mode, although almost all speakers will be present physically. Please register on the workshop website if you want to participate remotely.
The 4th edition of the conference on Black-Hole Microstructure will take place on June 6-10, 2022, followed by a workshop on June 13-17, 2022. Please contact the organizers if you would like to participate.
